Elizabeth “Betsy” Young Fillhart Bio

A California native with a business background in sales, marketing, and Human Resources, my family frequently traveled to Mexico and Baja Sur. My parents met and married in Morelos, Mexico, and I grew up with the amazing Sea of Cortez as a playground. Early on, a love for people and travel was instilled in me, and this propensity attracted me to the IRC.

I have proudly served on the Board since 2014 as president for two years. There are too many highlights to mention, but sharing my IRC experiences with my husband and daughters has been priceless. My parents taught me early on that “there are no strangers, just friends I hadn’t yet met,” and my volunteer work with IRC has been a natural adjunct of this belief.

I look forward to many more years of service to the Riverside community and the IRC. I hope everyone who enjoys people, travel, and community service will consider joining this incredible organization.
